Job summary

White Cap is seeking a hands-on supervisor to oversee daily shift operations on the production floor. You will work with machine operators and staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant environment, and will secure the facility at the end of the shift.

The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and a proven track record of enforcing safety policies and coordinating shift handovers with 1st and 3rd shifts. On-site position in Smyrna, TN.

Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
• 7+ years of experience in the production/manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery and production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Supervise machine operators and production staff to ensure productivity and smooth workflow.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations on the production floor.
• Monitor performance and provide coaching or corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate shift changeovers and communicate with 1st and 3rd shift leadership.
• Perform floor checks to verify equipment functionality and proper procedures.
• Assist in training new employees and cross-training current staff.
• Respond to equipment malfunctions or safety issues and escalate as needed.
• Complete shift reports and document production data accurately.
• Lock and secure the facility at shift end, ensuring all doors, lights, and machinery are secured.
• Serve as the point of contact for off-hours issues or emergencies.
