Job summary

HSP is seeking a shift supervisor to oversee an 8-hour production shift in Conditioning/Finishing, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. You will lead personnel, coordinate scheduling, and drive training initiatives to meet the company’s mission of producing high-quality alloy steel at the lowest unit cost.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, improving asset utilization, ensuring on-time product delivery, and promoting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; seven or more years in manufacturing with supervision preferred.
• Experience supervising shifts, scheduling, and safety programs.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel, processing, scheduling, maintenance, safety, housekeeping, and training for an 8-hour shift.
• Ensure safety environment and promote employee safety as the number one goal.
• Improve asset utilization through reliable scheduling and maintenance coordination.
• Promote on-time delivery and meet customer needs for quality products.
• Oversee area maintenance priorities, staffing, and cross-training to reduce delays.
• Foster continuous improvement and innovation to enhance operations.
• Maintain good employee relations and represent the company to employees and customers.
