Job summary

Kayem Foods, Inc. Career Center is seeking a production teammate to support daily operations on the meat processing floor. You will report for shift start in proper PPE, confirm schedules and formulas, verify meat specs and weights, and follow grinding procedures per production formulations.

You will document all production data, enter information into the AX system, and report any issues to supervision. When needed, perform lockout/tagout and assist with equipment setup and cleanup, while

Responsibilities

• Report to the Production floor for shift start and wear proper PPE.
• Review and verify the schedule/cards and check all meat against written formulas.
• Verify meat weight, date, and type.
• Follow grinding procedures as outlined in production formulation.
• Document all process and productivity information.
• Enter product information on the AX system and report any issues.
• Perform lockout/tagout when wash downs or grinder checks are required.
• Stop the production line as needed to address problems.
• Keep area clean, sanitary and follow GMPs.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report to the Production floor in a timely manner for shift start and dress in the proper PPE (personal protective equipment)
• Review and verify the schedule/cards and check all meat against written formulas
• Verify meat weight, date, and type
• Follow grinding procedures as outlined in production formulation
• Document all process and productivity information
• Enter product information on the AX system and report any issues
• When wash downs or grinder checks are required, perform lockout/tagout and complete task
• Stop production line as needed to seek immediate attention to correct any problems
• Keep area clean, sanitary and follow safety work practices such as and GMP’s
• Assist team in dismantling and assembling equipment
• Meet with supervisor at the end of the day
• Be willing to be cross trained within department to cover responsibilities if required
