Job summary

PEKO Precision Products Inc. in Rochester, NY seeks a Production Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain CNC manufacturing equipment. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and perform preventive maintenance with accurate logs.

Preferred candidates have an associate degree in a technical field and 2+ years of repair experience, including FANUC or Mazak controls. The role reports to Technical Manager and offers solid benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical/electrical repair experience.
• Knowledge of FANUC and/or Mazak controls.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain CNC manufacturing machines.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and log maintenance activities.
• Clear jams and set aside product for inspection or rework as needed.
• Test equipment after repairs, changeovers or downtime.
• Notify management about recurring equipment issues.

Production Service Technician

As a Production Service Technician you are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and providing maintenance for various CNC manufacturing machines. You will assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical problems that occur.

Essential Functions

• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.
• Performs scheduled maintenance and inspection of assigned equipment, completes maintenance and repair logs.
• Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework where required. Test equipment upon completion of repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime to assure performance.
• Examines defects and out of spec. product and where possible takes corrective action on equipment.
• Notify appropriate management of recurring issues with equipment and/or operation of equipment when necessary.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

Required

• Highschool degree or equivalent
• 2+ years with mechanical/electrical repair of machines
• Knowledge of FANUC and/or Mazak controls
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

Preferred

• Associate degree in a technical/skilled trade is preferred

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $21.00 - $30.00 per hour. The wage range for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational requirements.
