Job summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Script Clearance Department seeks a Coordinator to assist Analysts and film/TV productions from pre-production through completion. You’ll handle memos, clearance requests, SCOUT data entry, script tracking, screenings, and payment processing for licensed materials and talent.

The role demands strong organization, writing, and communication skills, plus proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. A 1–2 year background in production/legal support is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of prior experience supporting motion picture/television production, legal, or business affairs teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills expected for memo review and correspondence.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; fast, accurate typing and proofreading.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and maintain confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare initial script clearance memos and clearance report spreadsheets using SCOUT.
• Add and track clearance requests, releases, and issues in SCOUT, including uploading reference materials.
• Draft permission request letters and Release forms for Analyst review.
• Coordinate with Analysts to prioritize clearance requests across projects and ensure timely follow-up.
• Route and track correspondence; maintain project records and schedule departmental screenings.
