Job summary

NOW Foods in Sparks, NV is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop line-level schedules, coordinate with production supervisors and supply chain, and optimize throughput to meet shipping dates and KPIs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with five years in production scheduling or an equivalent mix of education and experience, knowledge of Lean, 5S, MS Office, and Oracle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or working towards a degree with five years of production experience.
• Prior production scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing including 5S and Lean Practices helpful.
• Intermediate skills in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

Responsibilities

• Draws up a production line-level schedule to establish sequence and lead time for operations to meet shipping dates.
• Plans and schedules workflow for processing and packaging according to established sequences and lead times.
• Plans sequences of process, assembly, and packaging operations, prioritizing production runs with supervisors and supply chain.
• Prepares runs for production value streams to meet KPIs for equipment, space, and cost efficiency.
• Inputs data and prepares reports and charts to support management metrics and ensures data integrity.
