Job summary

The Carlson Company Inc. in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Production Scheduler to optimize manufacturing flow and ensure on-time delivery.

You will coordinate sequence of production across machine shop, engineering, assembly, and purchasing to maximize efficiency. Candidates should have at least 2 years of scheduling experience, strong manufacturing knowledge, and proficiency with inventory management systems such as E2.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant scheduling experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Must possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and excellent organizational skills. Manufacturing industry experience is a significant plus.
  • Systems: Proficiency in using inventory management and scheduling software (E2).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate & Sequence: Determine the sequence of production and manage the entire workflow across the Machine Shop, Engineering, Assembly, and Purchasing departments.
  • Material Management: Systematize the review of work schedules and ensure the timely delivery and monitoring of raw materials and inventory to maintain continuous operations.
  • Optimization: Monitor job order execution, proactively prioritize tasks, and adjust production schedules to guarantee on-time delivery commitments.
  • System Utilization: Effectively use inventory management software to maintain accuracy and control material movement throughout the production cycle.

The Carlson Company, is a reliable and well-established manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Production Scheduler to join our team. (9800 W. York, just west of the airport/ICT Wichita, Kansas).

We operate a machine shop where we manufacture our own line of industrial clutches and brakes and provide critical components to the growing wind power industry. What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)

As our Production Scheduler, you are the coordinator responsible for driving efficient manufacturing and timely delivery. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate & Sequence: Determine the sequence of production and manage the entire workflow across the Machine Shop, Engineering, Assembly, and Purchasing departments.
  • Material Management: Systematize the review of work schedules and ensure the timely delivery and monitoring of raw materials and inventory to maintain continuous operations.
  • Optimization: Monitor job order execution, proactively prioritize tasks, and adjust production schedules to guarantee on-time delivery commitments.
  • System Utilization: Effectively use inventory management software to maintain accuracy and control material movement throughout the production cycle.

  • Schedule: Consistent full-time, first-shift hours (closing at 4:30 PM).
  • Compensation: paywill be discussed during the interview process, based on your experience.
