Job description

Position Summary

The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, organizing, and controlling daily production orders to meet customer commitments within and between departments.

Responsibilities
  • Plan production schedules to meet production and sales goals.
  • Analyze sales forecasts and trends with an understanding of production line capacity.
  • Utilize the ERP system to create production work orders and develop the master schedule.
  • Coordinate daily with the replenishment team to anticipate sales adjustments and trends.
  • Monitor plant capabilities (human and machine) to ensure adequate resources.
  • Develop planning models for plant/segment utilization that provide cost‑effective solutions while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Monitor inventory of finished goods SKUs to maintain safety stock levels.
  • Prepare daily and weekly Operations Summary reports.
  • Update the schedule in response to daily operational changes.
  • Accurately reflect the FPS daily using the ERP computer program.
  • Effectively communicate schedule changes to all Operations Departments.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot inventory issues and collaborate with other groups to determine solutions.
  • Perform daily miscellaneous receipts from the point of consumption to warehouse locations in SageX3.
  • Update the presentation and lead the Tulsa daily huddle via Teams.
  • Ensure proper rotation of physical inventory and FIFO during the shipping process.
  • Assist with design and implementation of best practices in the warehouses and cooler with a focus on continuous improvement and FIFO.
  • Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming, including recycling, social advocacy, and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
  • Maintain responsibilities related to Food Safety and Quality.
Qualifications

Must have either a high‑school diploma or a general education degree (GED) and at least five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to calculate rates, ratios, discounts, interest, averages, and solve mathematical problems.
  • Experience and working knowledge of MS Office software and Production Summary Reporting Programs.
