Descripción del empleo

Help Drive the Future of Advanced Manufacturing Are you someone who thrives on organization, problem-solving, and keeping operations running smoothly? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of manufacturing, technology, and planning? Join a growing advanced manufacturing team where you'll play a critical role in coordinating production across cutting-edge technologies including 3D printing, CNC machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, and assembly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or production planning experience who wants to develop into a full production planning professional. You'll work closely with engineering, customer-facing teams, and shop-floor personnel to build schedules, optimize capacity, track production progress, and help ensure customer commitments are met.

Why This Role is Exciting

Gain hands‑on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies. Build expertise in production planning, scheduling, and capacity management. Work in a highly collaborative environment alongside engineers, operations leaders, and customer success teams. Develop skills that can lead to broader planning, operations, and supply chain career opportunities. Make a direct impact on production efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do
Production Planning & Scheduling

Support the creation and maintenance of daily and weekly production schedules across multiple manufacturing processes. Assign work based on machine availability, employee training levels, and production priorities. Coordinate production activity across CNC machining, additive manufacturing (3D printing), welding, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, and assembly operations. Update schedules throughout the day as priorities, capacity, and customer requirements evolve. Help maintain an accurate master production schedule that serves as the central source of truth for manufacturing operations.

Capacity Planning & Production Support

Monitor machine utilization and available capacity to help balance workload and meet delivery commitments. Assist with forecasting short-term production capacity and workloads 1-2 weeks in advance. Plan around equipment maintenance, downtime, and operational constraints. Identify potential bottlenecks, scheduling conflicts, and capacity concerns before they impact production. Escalate production risks and delivery challenges to operations leadership when needed.

Reporting & Data Management

Track job progress and ensure accurate production data within manufacturing systems. Generate production reports and schedule updates to support operational decision-making. Analyze historical production data, on‑time delivery performance, and capacity utilization trends. Help identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, workflow efficiency, and production performance.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with Customer Success, Engineering, and Operations teams to align production priorities with customer commitments. Communicate schedule updates, delivery timelines, and capacity constraints to key stakeholders. Work closely with shop‑floor teams to support smooth workflow execution and minimize production disruptions. Contribute ideas and recommendations for process improvements, planning tools, and reporting enhancements.
