Job summary

Allegheny Bradford Corporation seeks a Production Scheduler to form the core of manufacturing planning. You will develop and maintain schedules using ERP/MRP, set priorities from demand and capacity, and partner with Production Control, Operations and Purchasing to ensure on-time customer delivery.

You’ll monitor schedules, adjust plans with real-time feedback from the shop floor, lead scheduling meetings, and drive improvements in efficiency and resource use across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combo of education and scheduling experience.
• Experience as a planner/scheduler in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules using ERP/MRP.
• Set priorities based on demand, materials, labor and capacity.
• Monitor schedules and identify issues affecting delivery.
• Adjust schedules based on real-time needs and shop floor feedback.
• Collaborate with Production Control, Operations, Purchasing, Inventory.
• Lead daily/weekly scheduling meetings and review priorities.
• Maintain lead times, calendars, lot sizes and policies.
• Analyze data to improve scheduling accuracy and resource use.
• Track KPIs and reduce past-due orders and disruptions.
• Support continuous improvement of planning processes.
• Maintain ERP/MRP planning information accurately.

We are looking for a Production Scheduler to join our team and play a key role in keeping our manufacturing operations running efficiently. This position is responsible for developing and managing production schedules, setting priorities, and making sure customer demand, materials, labor, and production capacity all come together.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with data, and being at the center of manufacturing operations. You will work closely with Operations, Production Control, Purchasing, and other teams to identify potential issues, make adjustments, and continuously improve the way we plan and schedule production.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain production schedules using our ERP/MRP system.
• Set production priorities based on customer demand, materials, labor, and capacity.
• Monitor schedules and proactively identify issues that could impact production or customer delivery.
• Adjust schedules based on real-time production needs and feedback from the shop floor.
• Work closely with Production Control, Operations, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to keep production on track.
• Lead daily and weekly scheduling meetings to review priorities, progress, and potential challenges.
• Maintain accurate planning information, including lead times, production calendars, lot sizes, and production policies.
• Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Monitor key performance indicators and help reduce past-due orders and schedule disruptions.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and help strengthen our planning and scheduling processes.
• Maintain accurate production planning information within the ERP/MRP system.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing planning/scheduling experience.
• Previous experience in a planner/scheduler role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or another ERP/MRP system is a plus.
• A willingness to learn and take ownership of your work.
