Job summary

Taylor Corporation in Jeffersonville, IN, is seeking a Production Scheduler (2nd shift) to develop and manage the master production schedule. You will translate orders into sequenced work plans and align with sales, purchasing, and engineering to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires strong analytical and data skills, comfort with Excel/Access, and the ability to adapt schedules as priorities shift. This is a full-time, on-site position with day-one benefits and a comprehensive scheduling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree not required; strong scheduling experience preferred.
• Ability to translate orders into sequential production plans.
• Experience coordinating with sales, purchasing and engineering.
• Proficient with Excel and Access for data manipulation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work on 2nd shift and meet deadlines.

Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Production Scheduler in our Jeffersonville facility!

Your Responsibilities:

• Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation Translates orders into a sequential work schedule.
• Plans and schedules workflow for press and operation Confers with production and order entry staff to determine status of orders.
• Works closely with Sales/Client Care to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Expedites orders as agreed meet unforeseen conditions.
• Assesses schedule performance and advises the team on status and preventive/corrective actions required.
• Prepares reports as needed.

Your Shift:

• 2:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday

You Must Have:

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to work with multiple systems and create tools via excel or access

• Responsible for the planning and scheduling of materials through the production schedules
• May coordinate with purchasing, production, and engineering

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

• Two years related prepress, scheduling or print industry experience (Digital production preferred)
• Experience with front end order control and digital file processing applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills required for interaction with all levels of management, sales and production staff
