Job Overview:

Ingersoll Rand seeks a talented Production Scheduler for its Ingersoll Rand Pump (IRP), MP Pump and Oberdorfer Pump (MPOB) Business Unit. The Production Scheduler will be responsible for a large variety of duties within a production team. They coordinate with all team members to craft the daily, weekly and even monthly schedules for a production project. Schedulers need impeccable multitasking skills so they can assist production members with timely responses to simultaneous production issues. They communicate information about status updates or production changes and make reports based on the flow and priorities of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring production teams meet critical deadlines.
  • Optimizing production workflow and performance.
  • Reviewing production to find areas of improvement.
  • Providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Creating long-term and short-term production schedules.
  • Analyze and select parts for Kanban and Supplier replenishment.
  • May lead and direct others to accomplish desired organizational objectives.
  • Expedite deliveries to meet and exceed scheduled critical requirements.
  • Maintain material plan at the time fence to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Productivity: identify and implement cost reduction/productivity projects to meet the corporate initiatives/goals. Maintain pipeline and financial records for reporting and tracking productivity.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree with 4+ years minimum planner/buyer manufacturing experience or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Computer proficient with MRP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Math and analytical skills.
  • Experience with rate based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with visual management systems.
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to create and develop visual scheduling processes.
