Job summary

SCIGON in Chicago, IL is seeking a hands-on RPA engineer to sustain a mature production automation portfolio and drive intelligent automation initiatives. You will own design, development, and deployment of UiPath automations across core business functions.

The role emphasizes production ownership, multi-system integration, and expanding capabilities with Python, REST, and AI-enabled tooling within a central AI Engineering center.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of hands-on RPA development with UiPath as the primary platform.
• Experience supporting production-grade automations with exception handling, logging, and recovery.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation in automation workflows.
• UiPath Developer Certification and an Agile delivery background.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a W-2 basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy production-grade automations using UiPath across multiple functions.
• Build and maintain complex bot architectures with multi-system integrations.
• Troubleshoot production automation failures with cross-functional partners.
• Extend automation with Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, and webhook integrations.
• Integrate AI services into workflows and develop Power Platform front-ends and back-ends.
• Contribute reusable components and participate in peer code reviews.
• Implement logging, audit trails, monitoring, and compliance-ready docs.
