Job summary

The AZEK Company in Scranton, PA is seeking a Production Operator to contribute to accident-free operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with variable shifts.

You will assist the extrusion operator, perform quality checks, packaging, and housekeeping while following safety procedures and plant policies. Minimum 1 year in manufacturing; HS diploma required; strong reading of rulers and gauges.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language.
• Basic math proficiency including fractions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read gauges and similar measuring devices.
• Must know how to read a ruler.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to accident-free operations and comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Assist the extrusion operator in producing quality products per specifications.
• Monitor and perform quality checks on color, surface, size, and other attributes before packaging.
• Place pallets and perform packaging techniques for finished materials as directed.
• Move materials to designated areas as needed.
• Assist extrusion operators with machine cleaning functions (saws, tanks, etc.).
• Communicate daily issues to production team members and leadership.
• Follow plant safety procedures to ensure personal and team safety.
• Understand and follow all company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Complete production operator reports and quality/production paperwork.
• Attach labels according to product specifications.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the production area.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
