Job summary

PLZ Corp seeks a Production Quality Control Technician to execute quality checks across the production process, support training and drive improvements. The role involves reading work orders, deciphering production codes, ensuring changeovers are clean, and performing routine line checks on an hourly cadence.

The position requires adherence to GMP and food-safety standards, data entry in SPC systems, and collaboration with operations to reduce defects.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform quality checks throughout production.
• Strong data entry and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work night shift and adapt to production schedule.

Responsibilities

• Read the entire work order and follow all instructions needed for product being run.
• Read and decipher codes for production, based upon Page 2 notes.
• Ensure line clearance and first check during change-over.
• Check that Changeover/Startup paperwork is completed correctly.
• Complete all required line checks, typically hourly.
• Monitor can weights, fill weights, crimps and testing for quality.
