Job summary

Moxtek is seeking an IQA, Production Quality Technician & CMM Operator to ensure incoming materials meet drawing requirements before release to production. You will collaborate with engineering to define GD&T methods and perform First Article Inspections to approve new parts and vendors.

The role maintains and programs precision measuring instruments, including CMMs, optical comparators, and microscopic systems; develops measurement routines to reduce errors and improve efficiency; and issues

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an inspection position in machine parts/manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with MCOSMOS or similar CMM software preferred.
• Two-year technology degree preferred.
• ASQ CQI/CQT/CQA/CQSP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials and parts used in X-ray and Optics manufacturing using mechanical, electrical, and optical inspection and measuring equipment.
• Maintain, program, and operate precision measuring instruments including CMMs, optical comparators, and microscopic measurement systems.
• Develop measurement methods and improve existing routines to reduce measurement error and increase efficiency.
• Generate Non-Conforming Reports (NCRs) and communicate results to internal customers and suppliers.
• Support R&D in development and measurement of new components and parts.
