Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Production Inspector to inspect components and finished products for conformance to production controls and ISO standards. You will perform final inspections on switches and orders, train personnel, and prepare reports on findings.

The role requires the ability to read drawings and BOMs, basic MS Word/Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems; lifting and physical demands are noted in the job description.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, BOMs, wiring and ladder diagrams is desirable.
• Basic computer skills in MS Word and Excel; ERP experience is desirable.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers and a Fluke multimeter.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspection tasks on all switches and part orders being shipped.
• Train production personnel in effective methods to control processes.
• Prepare reports for all findings.
• Shut down non-conforming processes after notifying Supervisor.
• Prepare and enter NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
• Write Customer Improvement Initiative (CII) for repetitive problems.
• Report ISO violations to Cell Leader / Manager.
• Create/implement process control charts for critical processes with team.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment per procedures.
• Conserve resources by efficient use of equipment and supplies.
• Train others in inspection tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work before passing to next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
