Northrop Grumman, based in Northridge, CA, is seeking a Production Project Manager 4 to drive multi‑discipline production programs from concept to full rate. This on‑site role interfaces with program management, IPTs, and support functions to meet productivity, quality, and customer objectives.

The successful candidate will oversee schedules, risk assessment, and cross-functional engagement while ensuring milestones and deliverables align with AARGM/AARGM-ER program requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6 years in project management or operations.
  • 3+ years leading complex, multi-disciplinary production projects from concept through full-rate production.
  • Experience with PMI-style project management (schedule, cost, risk, Earned Value Management)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is currently hiring a Production Project Manager 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.This is an individual contributor, non-manager role with no direct reports.

This position is required to be full-time, on-site in the Northridge, CA location. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position.

The primary objective of this role is executing multiple projects to achieve performance goals in support of the AARGM / AARGM-ER portfolio. The candidate is responsible for overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serves as the liaison between program management, integrated product teams, and supporting functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production Project Manager 4 will support the Sr. Program Manager for AARGM/AARGM-ER program with the primary responsibilities like: managing schedules, preparing status reports, coordinating cross-functional engagement and assessing project risks to develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction objectives.

Additional responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience inproject management or operations. 12 Years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years leading complex, multi‑disciplinary production projects from concept through full-rate production.
  • Experience with PMI‑style project management (schedule, cost, risk, Earned Value Management)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience of Risk, Issues, Opportunities and Mitigation Plans
  • Certified CAM / EACs experience
  • Strong experience with powepoint presentations
  • Ability to meet objectives with little guidance
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Understanding of creating and executing work in accordance with an integrated master schedule (IMS)
  • Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
