Job summary

RTX’s Advanced Technology seeks an Associate Director, Production Program Management to support a high-visibility Long Range Air-to-Air Missile program. The role is 100% onsite in Tucson, AZ, leading strategy, execution and program integrity to ensure on-time deliveries.

You will manage cost, schedule, and technical performance, build strong executive relationships with suppliers and customers, and drive risk and opportunity management across the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 12+ years of experience (or advanced degree with 10+).
  • Experience leading production or production-transition programs.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule and technical performance using PM tools.
  • Active and transferable Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Account for profit and loss, AOP development and execution, and EACs.
  • Develop and lead a program execution methodology with cross-functional teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Manage risk, opportunity, cost, quality and schedule performance.
  • Make priority decisions balancing risk, deadlines and profitability.
  • Foster positive team dynamics and develop production leaders.
  • Ensure adherence to plans, schedules and budgets.
  • Navigate RLPM gating process and related program governance.
  • Travel as needed for business engagements.

Raytheon - Advanced Technology (AT) is seeking an Associate Director, Production Program Management to support a highly visible, complex Long Range Air-to-Air Missile (LRAAM) program area within the Advanced Effectors and Space (AES) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).

The successful candidate will primarily support the Customer with the production, test and delivery of production representative missiles. In addition, you will be expected to set strategy, vision and direction for successful execution focused on overall product integrity and on-time deliveries. This role is 100% onsite in Tucson, AZ.

There will be high visibility to include executive leadership engagement as this is one of the core programs that drive success all the way up to the Strategic Business Unit level.

What You Will Do
  • Account for profit and loss, AOP development and implementation, and Estimate at Completions (EACs)
  • Create and lead a program execution methodology that provides clarity and visibility into execution status with a cross-functional team
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and key suppliers
  • Manage risk, opportunity, cost, quality and schedule performance
  • Manage priority decisions that balance risk, execution deadlines and profitability
  • Drive the expectation of maintaining a positive team dynamic and the development of leaders within the production team
  • Ensure program performance and adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets
  • Manage the contract through the Raytheon Leadership Program Management (RLPM) gating process
  • Travel, as needed, to support business engagements
You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience
  • Program management experience leading production programs or transition to production programs
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Active and transferrable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start
We Prefer
  • Program Management Level 4 Certification or ability to obtain within one year
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies for franchise programs
  • Oversight and monitoring of supplier performance; develop preventive and corrective actions as necessary
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Experience working with customers on government programs with complexity requiring direct customer interfaces, both internal and external

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
