Job summary

Fourth Floor, an elevated children's wear brand, is seeking a Production/Product Development Associate to join our Lakewood, NJ office. This on-site role requires hands-on management of production activities and tight coordination with factories to hit deadlines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in apparel production or product development, experience with children's wear, strong organization and attention to detail, and comfort communicating with overseas vendors.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of apparel production, product development, merchandising, or related experience
• Children’s apparel experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working with overseas factories and vendors
• Ability to read tech packs and garment specifications
• Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day production activities and timelines
• Communicate with factories and vendors on samples, approvals, and production status
• Track calendars, deadlines, and delivery dates
• Review tech packs, measurements, POs, and production specifications
• Coordinate fit samples, lab dips, size sets, trims, and approvals
• Review samples for quality, construction, measurements, fabrics, and trims
• Maintain accurate production records and flag potential delays or issues

Ideal Background:

• 2+ years of apparel production, product development, merchandising, or related experience
• Children’s apparel, baby, or layette experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
