Gelest, Inc., part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group, seeks a Process Improvement Specialist for our Morrisville, PA site. You will support the Production group by developing SOPs, solving technical issues, and leading Continuous Improvement projects as the primary technical resource on the shift.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Chemistry (or related field) with 3–4 years of experience and Lean/Six Sigma exposure.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field required.
• 3-4 years of experience preferred.
• Previous Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and set an example.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with personnel on the assigned shift.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Aufgaben

• Document current production processes with clear and complete records.
• Troubleshoot technical problems on the shift; escalate as needed.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement projects across production.
• Coordinate with Lead Operator and shift Supervisor to ensure safe, effective processes.
• Communicate project status and expected completion dates.
• Follow priorities from Process Improvement Manager and contribute ideas.
• Prepare reports or presentations to communicate status or train staff.
• Prepare shift hand-off information and summaries for other operations members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
