Job summary

Gelest, Inc., part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group, is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist to join our team in Morrisville, PA. The role focuses on documenting current production processes, driving continuous improvement, and addressing safety and quality requirements on a daily basis.

Ideal candidates have a chemistry degree, 3–4 years of relevant experience, and Lean/Six Sigma exposure, with strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills to operate in a high-paced production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field required.
• 3–4 years of experience preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and set an example for others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Document current production processes clearly and completely, addressing safety and quality requirements.
• Handle technical concerns escalated from shift personnel and escalate as needed.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement projects in the production process.
• Collaborate with Lead Operator and shift Supervisor to ensure safe, effective processes.
• Communicate project status and expected completion dates to stakeholders.
• Prepare reports or presentations for training or communication of project status.
