Job summary

Very Good Manufacturing is seeking a Process Improvement Specialist to turn floor work into written procedures, checklists, and one-page lessons. You will shadow operators, film tasks, write steps, and test them across shifts, ensuring they reflect real practice.

You’ll train crews on new procedures, track learning, and maintain a current library of procedures and checklists. This on-site role reports to the executive team as we scale the team in Fort Worth.

Qualifications

• Ability to watch a task and write clear steps for a new hire.
• Experience creating checklists or SOPs that actually get used.
• Ability to break tasks into steps and verify learning.
• Strong listening and questioning to capture details from operators.

Responsibilities

• Write steps, add photos, and test procedures on each shift.
• Rebuild startup and shutdown checklists for lines, stations, and runs.
• Put procedures on tablets with time-stamped sign-offs.
• Teach new and changed procedures at the line and track learning.
• Walk the line daily to verify checks against actual work and adjust as needed.
• Keep every procedure current and stored in Quality’s library.
