Job summary

• Engage with operators and supervisors to understand challenges, standard work, and deviations.
• Assist in troubleshooting process/equipment issues using data and field observations.
• Support small projects, plant trials, and process improvements.
• Participate in problem-solving teams and continuous improvement.
• Assist in updating operating procedures and process documentation.
• Observe and support PSM and MOC activities.
• Present findings and recommendations at internship end.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor plant process conditions and help identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
• Conduct field walkdowns to verify process conditions, equipment status, and operating practices, and the accuracy of plant P&IDs; support revisions to ensure engineering documentation remains accurate and current
• Engage with operators and supervisors to understand process challenges, standard work, and deviations
• Assist in troubleshooting process and equipment issues using data analysis and field observations
• Support execution of small projects, plant trials, and process improvements
• Participate in problem-solving teams and continuous improvement activities
• Assist in updating operating procedures and process documentation
• Observe and support Process Safety Management (PSM) and Management of Change (MOC) activities as applicable
• Present findings and recommendations at the end of the internship
