Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II (Production Support Engineer II) to define, document, and improve production processes.

You will translate engineering intent into routings, work instructions, and visual aids, providing hands-on support on the production floor and applying DFM/DFA concepts to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
Typically 2–5 years of engineering experience in an industrial assembly/manufacturing environment.
Experience developing technical work instructions and/or SOPs for assembly/rework operations.
Experience using an ERP platform to generate or maintain production routings and BOMs (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
Experience using 3D CAD software (PTC Creo preferred) to interpret models and create/update production drawings.
Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings (ASME Y14‑series GD&T familiarity).
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production routings and BOMs in the ERP system (SAP S/4HANA).
Author and update clear, detailed work instructions and visual aids for assembly, rework, and inspection operations.
Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications to define manufacturable processes reflecting design intent.
Support DFM and DFA reviews in collaboration with design engineering.
Design and update fixtures, jigs, and tooling to improve assembly, repeatability, and safety (using CAD tools).
Assist with PFMEAs and JHAs.
Support processing of nonconforming material and implement corrective/preventive actions with Quality.
Contribute to CI and lean initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting support to production floor.
Ensure manufacturing documentation is controlled in ERP/PDM systems.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders for Make vs. Buy decisions.
