Job summary

Chart Industries in Canton, GA is seeking a manufacturing associate to install plumbing parts on cryogenic tanks and follow blueprints to ensure correct assembly. You will perform leak checks, document work, and adhere to safety, quality, and ISO procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to learn how to plumb pressure vessels.
  • Basic math skills needed.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
  • Proven ability to identify, and work through problems and issues.
  • Overtime and weekend hours, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Installs various plumbing parts, such as regulators and tubing, etc. on cryogenic tanks
  • Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished product
  • Performs quality leak checks on work performed using mirrors and fans, as needed
  • Completes required documentation, electronic or paper, on all work performed
  • Understands and adheres to established safety and quality procedures
  • Maintains a clean work area and practices general housekeeping standards
  • Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements
  • Performs other duties assigned

What Will You Do?

Day Shift hours: Monday -Thursay, 5:00am-3:30pm

  • Installs various plumbing parts, such as regulators and tubing, etc. on cryogenic tanks
  • Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels, as well as correct components installed on the finished product
  • Performs quality leak checks on work performed using mirrors and fans, as needed

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Additionally, will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear and reach with hands and arms. Employee will occasionally be required to climb or balance and must be able to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds. On occasion, employee may lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Loud noise level in the work environment.

Required
