Job summary

Crown Holdings, Inc. in Alsip, Illinois seeks a Manager of Production Planning to lead master scheduling, demand forecasting, and inventory control at a state-of-the-art facility in the North American Closures Aerosol and Promotion Packaging Division.

Operate to optimize throughput, reduce costs, and ensure on-time delivery by coordinating with production, sales and purchasing. Requires 5+ years in production planning and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production control experience with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience planning component parts from various suppliers to support plant assembly operations.
• Ability to balance customer service levels with aggressive inventory reduction goals.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Access; computer literacy a must.
• Excellent oral and written communications and strong organizational/project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity and historical data.
• Coordinate with production, sales and purchasing to update progress and developments.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage changes between factories to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain planning systems and generate required reports and metrics.
