Job summary

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. in Nichols, NY is seeking a Manager I, Plant Production Planning to coordinate production planning activities for the Nichols plant within the North American Beverage Division.

You will oversee daily production, inventory, warehousing and distribution for finished goods. The ideal candidate has a BS in business or logistics, 5+ years in production planning or logistics, APICS/CPSM/Six Sigma/Lean preferred, strong Excel skills, and a track record of process improvement

Qualifications

• BS degree in business, logistics, management or related area.
• 5+ years of experience in a production planning/logistics/materials handling role.
• Certificates in APICS, CPSM, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing are highly desired.
• Knowledge of AS400 operating systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access and Word.
• Ability to develop processes, train end users, and implement projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production planning activities for the Nichols, NY plant within the North American Beverage Division.
• Develop Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity and historical data.
• Interact with production and sales to update progress and developments.
• Monitor inventories of raw materials, work in process and finished goods to minimize costs.
• Drive continuous improvement through training, tool development, and strategic planning.
