We’re seeking a strategic, hands-on Production Planning Manager to lead the scheduling and coordination of our hardwood veneer and plywood manufacturing operations. At the intersection of precision, people, and process , this role ensures our plant runs like a well-crafted sheet of veneer—strong, smooth, and aligned from end to end.

What You’ll Do

As our Production Planning Manager, you will:

Develop, maintain and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory goals.

Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of raw materials (e.g., core, veneers, glue).

Monitor production output, inventory levels, and capacity utilization, making real-time schedule adjustments as needed.

Communicate schedule and changes effectively to production supervisors, maintenance, and shipping departments.

Lead production planning meetings and provide clear updates on performance to plan.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks, supply disruptions, and inefficiencies in the production flow.

Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to manage supplier lead times and optimize raw material ordering.

Maintain accurate records and date in ERP or planning systems; generate reports for management review.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, plant throughput, and material management.

Be a key player in continuous improvement, aligning strategy with action.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience , preferably in a manufacturing or wood products environment.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably plywood or panel production.

Familiarity with raw material logistics in forestry or wood products industry; preferred

Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.

Experience with LEAN manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies; preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Data-driven with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
