Peet's Coffee is seeking a Production Planning Manager in Alameda, CA to lead the planning team and align production with demand, inventory, and capacity. The role partners with Supply Chain, Operations, and Demand Planning to balance coffee supply and manufacturing requirements while driving continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of leadership in manufacturing, strong MRP/MPS system knowledge (MOS, Lean), and proficiency with Microsoft D365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with multi-site production scheduling and planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning activities and develop daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for make-to-stock and make-to-order products.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to execute plans and resolve issues.
• Drive collaboration across planning, operations, buying, and multi-site partners using MOS and Lean principles to improve KPIs.
• Monitor and optimize inventory, forecast accuracy, and service levels through MRP parameter tuning.
• Develop master production schedules and assess lead times and risks affecting schedules.
• Support ERP/MRP systems, item setup, and production attainment reporting for smooth operations.

This role will develop and manage daily, weekly, and long-range production plans, monitor execution, and proactively resolve planning challenges.The Production Planning Manager will partner closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Demand Planning to align coffee supply, production requirements, and co-manufacturing capabilities. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role.
