Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Production Planning Intern in Malabar, FL to develop and implement manufacturing build plans that meet delivery schedules. You will input Master Schedules in the MRP system, track material availability, release shop orders, and maintain shop order records and inventory integrity.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute the build schedule, work with Materials Planners to coordinate material dock dates, and provide hardware status updates

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge and/or experience in scheduling or supply chain planning preferred.
• Strong computer and analytical skills with the ability to manage large amounts of quantitative data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of relational databases.
• Knowledge and/or experience with MRP or other enterprise planning and scheduling suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules.
• Utilize MRP system to input Master Schedule build plans, track material availability, status kit readiness, release shop orders, and maintain all shop order records and inventory integrity.
• Update and maintain make items lead times within MRP system.
• Manage floor stock of program components.
• Work jointly with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute build schedule and address issues in a timely manner.
• Work with Materials Planners to proactively manage the schedule and material dock dates to ensure accuracy of planning.
• Provide hardware status, updates and performance statistics to program team based on status of hardware through MES.
