Job summary

SmartLam North America in Dothan, Alabama, is seeking a Production Coordinator Assistant to support planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily production of CLT and glulam products. You will help manage schedules, BOMs, and production travelers across departments to keep projects on time and within quality standards.

The role requires strong organization, communication, and problem-solving, with familiarity in ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing or production coordination is desirable.
• Experience with wood products or mass timber is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and maintaining daily/weekly production schedules.
• Maintain production information in ERP/MRP and update work orders.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate with procurement and inventory.
• Track production results and support KPI reporting.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time release of jobs.
