Job summary

SmartLam North America is seeking a Production Team Member to join our wood manufacturing operation in Dothan, AL. On-the-job training will be provided, and you will work in a team environment under guidance from experienced colleagues and a team leader.

Clear verbal and written communication with coworkers is essential. You will follow safety rules, operate or assist with sanding and epoxy/glue tasks, sort lumber, and keep your area clean.

Qualifications

• Wood working experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to clearly communicate with coworkers and Team Leader.
• Team member oriented with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Working in a team environment in a wood manufacturing setting.
• Follow safe work practices; employee safety is important.
• Follow health and safety regulations including PPE.
• Use/apply epoxy fillers or glue as needed.
• May use floor, palm, and belt sanders and other small tools.
• May sort lumber; maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties and work in other areas as assigned.
