Job summary

Flex, a diversified manufacturing partner, invites applications for a Production Planning Administrator in Columbia, SC. Reporting to the Materials Planning Manager, the role manages administrative tasks related to production planning and helps ensure on-time delivery.

A typical day includes being the first point of contact for leads and ops, releasing work orders, and reporting on inventory. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of related experience and strong communication and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Typically requires 4-6 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Affects different areas by contributing to development of techniques or concepts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Eyes and Ears of the Line to Production Planning/ Master Scheduling.
• Working knowledge of Primary/ Secondary Lines to ensure continuous coverage.
• Communication Link with Production Planning/ Scheduling.
• Release/Print/ Post Work Orders.
• Owner/ Report out at MDI Board on Inventory Section.
• Inventory/ Red/ Green from Previous Day.
• Inventory Trend CTB %.
• Inventory Trending Causes.
• MDI Actions.
• X to Y by Z Who does what by when.
• Owner, QTY, ETA, Tracking.
• Any Red condition/ 15-day shortage- likely an action needed.
