Job summary

Carolina Industrial Staffing is seeking a Production Planner / Scheduler for Swansea, SC. The role involves creating and adjusting production plans, managing inventory, and coordinating with procurement to meet customer demand.

It is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday–Friday schedule and a starting pay of $77,000 per year. Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, monitoring stock, analyzing demand and capacity, and ensuring ERP/MRP data integrity.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in SCM, Operations, Business Admin, Industrial Eng, Logistics, or related field.
• 2–5 years experience in production planning, scheduling, inventory management, or related area.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and forecasting.
• Knowledge of scheduling, inventory control, MRP, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and communicate production schedules, including a rolling two-week plan.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available in correct locations.
• Analyze demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory to prevent disruptions.
• Coordinate with procurement to forecast raw material needs and replenishment.
• Maintain item records and planning data in ERP/MRP systems.
• Process intercompany orders and stock-availability changes.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, quality, and customer service teams on daily operations and launches.
• Coordinate inventory movements and support import/export documentation and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reduce aged inventory, and control costs.
