Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and executing the shop schedule to ensure efficient product manufacturing and timely completion. Understand the manufacturing process and make strategic decisions as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understand production processes and product manufacturability.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to set production direction based on material and supplier availability.
  • Prioritize parts release to production to ensure success.
  • Forecast and plan for high-demand and repeat products.
  • Predict impacts of production changes, disruptions, machine breakdowns, etc.
  • Anticipate disruptions from expedite orders and assess capacity support across departments.
Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in a related field or 10-15 years’ experience in manufacturing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience exporting data from ERP systems to drive schedules.
  • Ability to create data sheets and reports.
  • Good communication skills and ability to motivate.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
Working Conditions
  • Work between office and plant environments, with exposure to varying temperatures and noise.
  • Travel up to 5%, including overnight stays.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting, standing, walking.
  • Ability to work a schedule with punctual attendance, Monday through Friday, plus additional hours and some weekends.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling in an 8–12-hour day, up to 60 hours per week.
