IEM is seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler in San Antonio, TX, to develop and maintain production schedules across fabrication, assembly, and shipping, aligned with customer requirements, material availability, and capacity.

The role uses INFOR ERP to optimize scheduling, coordinating with engineering, production, and materials teams to ensure on‑time delivery. The position is temporarily in NE San Antonio while a new plant comes online, with a permanent Brooks site planned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, industrial engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of production planning, scheduling, or operations coordination in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, INFOR experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on order priorities, material readiness, and work center capacity.
• Coordinate with Production, Fabrication, and Engineering teams to align schedules with resources.
• Review customer orders, validate ship dates, and ensure alignment with lead times.
• Manage schedule adjustments for expedited orders, delays, or material shortages with proactive communication.
• Utilize ERP, with INFOR preferred, to plan, monitor, and adjust manufacturing activities.
• Analyze resource and material availability to identify bottlenecks and constraints.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Materials Planning to ensure timely material flow to production lines.
• Participate in cross‑functional planning meetings to synchronize schedules with purchasing, fabrication, and assembly.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scheduling accuracy and throughput.
• Contribute to lean initiatives such as Kanban, visual management, and standardized work.
• Support the adoption of best practices for ERP utilization and production reporting.
• Serve as the communication link between production, planning, materials, and customer service teams.
• Escalate capacity or delivery risks promptly to the Production Planning Manager.
• Support coordination of schedule changes due to design modifications or supply delays.
• Be a flexible and proactive team player with a start‑up mindset.

IEM is currently seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler for our San Antonio, TX and will report into the Supply Chain Manager.

The Production Planner/Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules that align with customer requirements, material availability, and manufacturing capacity. This role ensures efficient workflow across fabrication, assembly, and shipping operations, using ERP tools to optimize production efficiency and on‑time delivery.

This position will be based temporarily in NE San Antonio while our new manufacturing plant is coming online. Our permanent location is approximately 25 minutes away at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio, 78235. The position is also 100% in-office and does not offer remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on order priorities, material readiness, and work center capacity
• Coordinate with Production, Fabrication, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of schedules with available resources
• Review customer orders, validate ship dates, and ensure alignment with published lead times
• Manage schedule adjustments for expedited orders, delays, or material shortages, ensuring proactive communication with stakeholders
• Utilize ERP, with INFOR preferred, to plan, monitor, and adjust manufacturing activities
• Analyze resource and material availability to identify bottlenecks and constraints
• Partner with Supply Chain and Materials Planning to ensure timely material flow to production lines
