Job summary

Cardinal Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler for a 9 to 12 month assignment in Norwalk, OH. The role focuses on aligning customer demand, inventory goals and plant capacity through production planning and scheduling activities.

The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing experience with production scheduling, material planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations, and familiarity with SAP and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Issuing, modifying and closing Production Orders
• Updating daily schedules (Monitor)
• Counting rolls on the floor
• Updating daily KPI’s
• Working with Master Scheduler on inventory targets
• Maintaining finished goods inventory at target levels
• Communicating schedule changes to the floor
• Supporting Customer Service by replying in portals
• Identifying shortages, discrepancies, scorecards, bulletins
• Setting up new parts in SAP or customer portals
• Monitoring OEM delivery scores and disputing as needed
• Liaising with customers on order clarification and ship windows
• Responding, documenting and tracking disputes
• Assisting with annual HTS code documentation for customers
• Matching freight invoices and supporting container management
• Covering PC & L team as needed
• Maintaining a safe workplace and performing physical inventory
• Participating in Daily Production and weekly S&OP meetings
• Ensuring compliance with TS-16949 and ISO-14001
• Communicating across the organization to resolve issues
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler for a 9 to 12 month assignment with a manufacturing facility in Norwalk, OH. This position will support production planning and scheduling activities to help ensure customer demand, inventory goals and plant capacity are aligned. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a manufacturing environment with production scheduling, material planning, inventory control or supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Issuing, modifying and closing Production Orders
• Updating daily schedules (Monitor)
• Counting rolls on the floor
• Updating daily KPI’s
• Work with Master Scheduler on inventory targets based on customer requirements, while managing the Master Production Plan to achieve targeted inventory levels on both a cost and unit basis
• Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels in ensure high service levels, i.e. product availability to meet customer demand
• Communicate schedule and schedule changes to the floor
• Support Customer Service by answering customer portals as required.
• (Ford, Stellantis, Tesla, GM, BMW, Volvo, etc.) to identify critical shortages, receiving discrepancies, scorecards, bulletins, etc.
• Ensure that new parts are set-up correctly in SAP and/or customer portals
• Monitor OEM delivery rating scores and dispute as required
• Acts as liaison with customers regarding, but not limited to, order clarification, ship windows, and expedited freight.
• Responds, documents and tracks disputes as needed.
• Support completing annual HTS code documentation for customers
• Support matching freight invoices
• Support container management requirements with customers
• Fill in for PC & L team members as required.
• Assists in maintaining a safe workplace.
• Active participant in planning and performing Physical Inventory
• Attend Daily Production meeting, and weekly S & OP meeting.
• Ensure compliance with all TS-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• SAP: 1 year (Preferred)
• Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)

Full time Monday through Friday

Compensation

$61,000 annually

Assignment Length

This is a temporary 9 to 12 month assignment.
