Job summary

Phillips and Temro Industries is seeking a Production Scheduler to develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules for assigned product families, supporting customer demand, operational efficiency, and inventory objectives.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, and Logistics to ensure material availability and on-time delivery. Driving NPIs, product changes, and lifecycle activities while optimizing safety stock, lot sizing, and replenishment policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience with MRP and production scheduling.
  • Ability to manage inventory and analyze data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules that support customer demand, on-time delivery performance, and operational efficiency, including daily exception management.
  • Manage the timely release and maintenance of work orders to support production requirements.
  • Partner with Procurement and suppliers to ensure material availability and continuity of supply in support of production schedules.
  • Proactively communicate schedule changes, production risks, and delivery impacts to Customer Service and other key stakeholders.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and product lifecycle management activities to ensure successful launches and transitions.
  • Optimize inventory levels through effective planning parameters, safety stock management, lot sizing, and replenishment strategies.
  • Provide capacity, inventory, and production insights to support demand planning and sales forecasting activities.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules for assigned product families to support customer demand, operational efficiency, and inventory objectives. Collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to ensure material availability and on-time delivery performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules that support customer demand, on-time delivery performance, and operational efficiency, including daily exception management.
  • Manage the timely release and maintenance of work orders to support production requirements.
  • Partner with Procurement and suppliers to ensure material availability and continuity of supply in support of production schedules.
  • Proactively communicate schedule changes, production risks, and delivery impacts to Customer Service and other key stakeholders. Adjust schedules as needed to support customer commitments and business priorities.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and product lifecycle management activities to ensure successful launches and transitions.
  • Optimize inventory levels through effective planning parameters, safety stock management, lot sizing, and replenishment strategies.
  • Provide capacity, inventory, and production insights to support demand planning and sales forecasting activities.
  • Analyze excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory and develop action plans to reduce inventory exposure.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on operational excellence, process improvement, and business growth.

Perform other duties as assigned, including:

  • Maintain planning records and documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable business standards.
  • Leverage ERP data, demand forecasts, supplier performance metrics, inventory data, and production information to support planning decisions.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that enhance planning accuracy, material flow, and operational performance.
  • Manage planning activities and support procurement execution for assigned materials as required.

Base Pay Range: $70k - $90k per year

Compensation Disclosure:
