Job summary

Phillips & Temro Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate work orders, manage staffing and ensure access to materials and equipment. You will interface with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Production Planning, Supply Chain and HR to drive efficient operations.

The role emphasizes Lean practices, training, and documentation of employee records, with a focus on safe, compliant production and timely problem resolution in a factory environment.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve disputes and observe confidentiality.
  • 3–5 years progressive experience in factory operations and/or supervision.
  • 5 years Progressive lead experience with training and team environment concepts.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Coordinate production work orders with material and equipment availability, employee count, and order due-dates. Assign tasks to employees. Ensure materials and equipment are available.
  • Provide technical advice and responsible for accuracy of production operations completed.
  • Communicate effectively with Staff and Management on work plan, assignment of duties and responsibilities regarding production decision making. Solve production problems in a timely manner.
  • Key contact between production floor activities and Manufacturing & Process Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.
  • Champion Lean initiatives and Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Provide training and coaching as required to all employees in conjunction with the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Responsible for documenting and keeping employee training records current.
  • Deal with employee problems with the aid and support of Human Resources.
  • Communicate safety policies and requirements and ensure all employees and processes are working in a safe manner.
  • Coordinate 5S and good housekeeping practices among employees.
  • Ensure the smooth efficient flow of products through cooperation with other department supervisors.
  • Participates in the interviewing and hiring process of new employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Base Pay Range

$68,000-$90,000

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is listed above. Your base pay will depend on your skills, education, qualifications, experience, and location. The final salary offer will be based on these criteria and may differ based on the candidate's experience and qualifications and other job-related reasons. Qualifications

Education

Preferred Bachelors or better in Management or related field

Experience

Required 3-5 years: Progressive experience in factory operations and/or supervision

Preferred 5 years: Progressive lead experience reflecting a strong, ongoing commitment to training and team environment concepts with the ability to meet deadlines.
