Job summary

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a Production Planner to drive master scheduling and production planning for industrial pump systems, rotating equipment, and precision assemblies. You will translate forecasts into actionable build schedules while balancing quality, inventory, cost, and delivery targets.

Responsibilities include preparing weekly schedules, resolving bottlenecks, and coordinating with purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on production planning, master scheduling, or material requirements planning experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Intermediate knowledge of pump systems and parts.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of industrial pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid handling systems.
  • Solid understanding of material requirements planning logic, capacity planning, and shop-floor scheduling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

  • Manage core planning inputs including sales orders, OEM forecasts, custom pump builds, and production schedules.
  • Translate demand into master production schedules using MRP systems.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly manufacturing schedules and work order dispatch lists.
  • Resolve schedule discrepancies, material shortages, and shipping bottlenecks with plant management.
  • Coordinate routine inventory audits and cycle counts across the facility.
  • Lead vendor corrective actions for non-conforming material receipts.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to maintain on-time delivery metrics.

As a Production Planner, you will drive master scheduling and production planning for industrial pump systems, rotating equipment, and precision assemblies. You will collaborate closely with line management to balance quality, inventory, cost, and delivery targets while satisfying critical customer demand. In this role, you will translate sales forecasts into actionable build schedules and keep manufacturing workflows running efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

Manage core planning inputs including sales orders, original equipment manufacturer forecasts, custom pump builds, and strategic production schedules.



  • Translate consolidated demand and sales forecasts into master production schedules using material requirements planning systems.

  • Prepare and distribute weekly manufacturing schedules and work order dispatch lists across production assembly lines.

  • Resolve schedule discrepancies, material shortages, order revisions, and shipping bottlenecks in coordination with plant management.

  • Coordinate and execute routine physical inventory audits and cycle counts across the facility.

  • Initiate and lead vendor corrective action procedures for non-conforming material receipts.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to maintain on-time delivery metrics.
