Job summary

Flowserve in Phoenix seeks a Production Supervisor for the Pump Repair Shop. You will lead operations, drive safety and staffing initiatives, manage resources to hit labor budgets and on-time delivery, and ensure documentation and routing are accurate.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial manufacturing or repair, CIP training, and strong leadership with pumps and rotating equipment expertise. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with some college preferred.
  • 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing or repair operation.
  • Experience scheduling/planning multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Understanding of Material Planning, Inventory Control, and Material Requirements Planning.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing/directing all shop activities for a repair/manufacturing facility.
  • CIP training and experience required.
  • Solid understanding of assembly processes in manufacturing/repair environments.
  • Good working knowledge of pumps and rotating equipment.

  • Manage shop resources to meet labor hour budget.
  • Ensure all work follows guidelines and is done efficiently.
  • Drive CIP culture and meet cycle time reduction goals.
  • Attend and participate in pass gate meetings.
  • Work with Master Scheduler to manage order risks.
  • Review and approve routers release to the shop floor.
  • Escalate parts, manpower, and capacity concerns affecting schedule.
  • Review documentation for job progress and completion.
  • Manage COPQ, OTD, rework and scrap metrics.
  • Ensure outsourced deliverables are on schedule and packages are clear.
  • Monitor capacity and initiate outsourcing as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Project Coordinators to relay status and timelines.
  • Participate in programs to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance.
  • Act as a point of contact for orders to manage customer experience.
  • Participate in order hand-off meetings and manage Pass Gate processes.

Responsibilities

  • Drive CIP culture throughout organization and meet cycle time reduction goals
  • Attend and actively participate in pass gate meetings
  • Work with Master Scheduler to manage order risks
  • Review and approve routers release to the shop floor
  • Escalate parts, manpower, and capacity concerns that affect schedule to Master Scheduler and/or QRC Manager
  • Review and ensure required documentation for job progress is complete
  • Manage and improve COPQ, OTD, rework and scrap metrics
  • Manage outsourced deliverables are on schedule, job packages are properly assembled, and scopes are clearly communicated
  • Monitor capacity and initiate manufacturing outsourcing as required to meet deadlines
  • Work with assigned Project Coordinators, relaying job status and providing project timelines/schedules
  • Participate and implement programs/procedures to improve processes, lead‑time, production yields and delivery performance
  • Manage the customer experience by occasionally acting as a point of contact for orders. Provide customer updates as requested
  • Attend and actively participate in order hand‑off meetings (Pass Gate1), and effectively manage the Pass Gate Process throughout the order lifecycle
