Job summary

Maverick Power in McKinney, TX is seeking a driven Production Planner to coordinate schedules, optimize inventory, and secure timely material availability for manufacturing operations. The role requires strong analytical abilities, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to meeting production goals.

Responsibilities include developing plans, maintaining inventory, coordinating with procurement, and monitoring KPIs to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and MRP systems preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally, as needed.
• Experience in power systems, energy products, or electromechanical assembly manufacturing.
• 3-5 years experience in production planning, materials management, or operations within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and other production planning tools/software.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, sales forecasts, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to ensure production plans align with capacity and resource availability.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery deadlines and customer requirements.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence.
• Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to optimize inventory turnover and support production needs.
• Work closely with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components for production.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues related to delivery schedules, quality, and pricing.
• Implement strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure continuity of supply.
• Track KPIs related to production efficiency, schedule adherence, and inventory turns.
• Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and logistics teams to support new product introductions and ensure product quality standards are met.
• Communicate production schedules and material requirements to relevant stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
