Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a Production Planner for a temp-to-perm role in Melville, NY. The planner will ensure uninterrupted production flow by planning and releasing work orders to the floor, with daily direction to operators and priorities communicated clearly.

The position requires coordinating with Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Service to keep schedules on track, mitigate delays, and maintain performance reporting. onsite, full-time.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning and scheduling
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret layouts
• Strong negotiation, problem‑solving and financial analysis skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Review daily production reports to determine future work order requirements.
• Review pending work orders and production floor capacity to balance schedule.
• Develop weekly production schedules and distribute to the Production team.
• Provide daily direction to production operators and assemblers on orders and priorities.
• Monitor progress and resolve delays to maintain on-time completion.
• Prepare status and performance reports for management.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to evaluate orders and create production schedules.
• Liaise with Engineering for new product releases and with Customer Service on lead times.
