Job summary

Crocodile Cloth is seeking a Production Planning, Inventory & Materials Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio to keep manufacturing on track and problems from developing into delays.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will maintain production schedules, verify material availability, coordinate with warehouse and production teams, and keep accurate inventory records using ERP and spreadsheets. This hands-on role blends floor activity with desk work to drive on-time production.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in production coordination or related roles.
• Experience with production schedules, work orders and inventory systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to work on the production floor and at a desk.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production schedules, work orders and upcoming production plans.
• Check raw materials, packaging and components are available before production begins.
• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure materials are staged, labeled and tracked.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Keep production and inventory records accurate using ERP systems and spreadsheets.
• Identify potential shortages or delays and communicate them early.
• Follow up with purchasing, warehouse and production teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure unused materials are returned, recorded and reconciled after production.
• Support improvements to production processes and material flow.
