Jobbeschreibung

Are you the person who keeps production moving and solves problems before they become bigger issues?

Crocodile Cloth is looking for an organized, proactive and hands-on Production Planning, Inventory & Materials Coordinator to join our growing operations team in Columbus, Ohio.

If you have experience in manufacturing, production coordination, inventory control or materials management, and enjoy being the person who keeps everything on track, we'd love to hear from you.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your entire day behind a desk. You'll be working closely with our production and warehouse teams, checking materials, coordinating schedules, solving problems and making sure everything is ready for the next production run.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, pays attention to the details and doesn't wait to be asked when something needs fixing.

About Crocodile Cloth

Crocodile Cloth develops innovative, high-performance cleaning products designed to make tough cleaning jobs easier.

We're a growing, fast-moving business that values practical problem-solving, teamwork and people who take pride in getting things done.

Our team operates with five core values: Creative Solutions, Ownership & GSD, Above & Beyond, Change and Humility.

We believe in giving people the opportunity to take responsibility, contribute ideas and make a real difference.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll play a key role in making sure our production runs are properly planned, materials are available and inventory records are accurate.

You'll work across production planning, inventory control, material coordination and operational administration, helping to prevent delays and keep our manufacturing operations running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining production schedules, work orders and upcoming production plans.
  • Checking that raw materials, packaging and other components are available and ready before production begins.
  • Coordinating with warehouse and production teams to ensure materials are correctly staged, labeled and tracked.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, completing cycle counts and investigating discrepancies.
  • Keeping production and inventory records accurate using ERP systems, spreadsheets and other operational tools.
  • Identifying potential shortages, delays or production issues and communicating them early.
  • Following up with purchasing, warehouse and production teams to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Ensuring unused materials are correctly returned, recorded and reconciled after production.
  • Supporting improvements to production processes, material flow and inventory accuracy.

Most importantly, you'll help ensure the right materials are in the right place, at the right time, so production can run efficiently.

About You

We're looking for someone with practical manufacturing experience who enjoys staying organized, solving problems and working with different teams.

To be successful, you'll bring:
  • At least 2 years of experience in production coordination, manufacturing, inventory control, warehouse operations or materials management.
  • Experience working with production schedules, work orders and inventory management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets and operational systems.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with production, warehouse and purchasing teams.
  • A willingness to work both on the production floor and at a desk.
  • A strong sense of accountability and the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
It would also be great if you have:
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle or similar platforms.
  • Experience with cycle counting, material reconciliation, barcode scanning or lot tracking.
  • A background in consumer products, packaging, chemical or other manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, 5S or continuous improvement.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.
The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here

You might be a great fit if you:

  • Notice when something isn't right and take the initiative to investigate.
  • Enjoy having a plan but can adapt when production priorities change.
  • Take pride in accurate records, organized materials and a job done properly.
  • Are comfortable getting out onto the production floor to understand what's actually happening.
  • Follow through on commitments without needing constant reminders.
  • Enjoy working with others and finding practical ways to make things run better.

You don't need to have all the answers, but you do need to be curious, resourceful and willing to take ownership.

What We Offer
  • Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Benefits: Medical and dental insurance, 401(k), paid time off (RTO) and additional employee benefits.
  • The opportunity to play an important role in a growing business.
  • A hands-on position with variety and opportunities to contribute ideas.
  • A collaborative team environment where initiative and accountability are valued.
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and contribute to operational improvements.
