Position Summary

Facilitate and execute logistics planning processes across packaging, engraving, warehousing, and shipping operations. The Logistics Planner II operates with a moderate level of autonomy, independently creating and managing schedules, maintaining ERP data accuracy, and resolving planning exceptions. This role mentors junior team members and contributes to the execution of logistics initiatives and process improvements.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain production and packaging schedules based on demand forecasts, material readiness, and labor capacity.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and external carriers to ensure timely information flow and execution.
  • Maintain ERP system data integrity, including BOMs, item lifecycle attributes, label formats, customer notes, and inventory configuration.
  • Create, update, and lead documentation of departmental standard work, playbooks, and safety procedures.
  • Generate departmental performance reports and KPIs using tools such as Microsoft Office, Atlas, Dynamics AX, and Power BI.
  • Act as primary or secondary contact for building access control including alarm and security procedures.

Additional Functions

  • Troubleshoot and support resolution of material, schedule, or capacity conflicts in planning execution.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement (CI) projects that improve process flow, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of automation, system tools, and data-driven planning enhancements.
  • Provide input on packaging layout and workflow to support operational or strategic projects.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or combination of experience required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, planning, or manufacturing with ERP exposure (Microsoft D365 F&O preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel and Power BI reporting.
  • Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and mentor others.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write English at a level to effectively utilize and interpret work instructions and customer manuals.
  • Ability to effectively utilize basic math and intermediate computer skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in a production environment. Work area is well lit. All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
