Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking a Production Planner to oversee operations, planning, and scheduling from order receipt through fulfillment. The role focuses on creating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule and Production Floor Schedule to align with demand, forecasts, material availability, capacity, and strategic manufacturing goals, while minimizing inventory.

The planner will collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Product Teams, support new product launches and end-of-life

Qualifications

• Must have strong planning and scheduling skills.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and manage Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Production Floor Schedule to support demand, forecast, material, capacity, and manufacturing strategy while minimizing inventory.
• Release and maintain work orders in alignment with monthly plans and production schedule.
• Review schedule changes for feasibility, coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Product Teams to ensure resources are available.
• Develop and maintain Recovery Schedules to meet customer demand and internal recovery plans.
• Support new product launches and End of Life plans to minimize obsolescence; assist with periodic cycle counts.
