  • Ensure orders progress efficiently through all workflow gates and queues.
  • Provide daily updates to the AOG team.
  • Maintain accurate and current shortage information in ePoint.
  • Update and maintain BFDs and Z141s based on LOS.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Production Planner I (Finance)

The Production Scheduler is responsible for the execution of released orders to Stores, with a primary focus on material readiness, priority order management, and constraint mitigation. This role ensures material shortages, pacing issues, and allocation constraints are identified early, communicated effectively, and actively managed in coordination with Planners and Material Handlers. This position directly supports on-time delivery, AOG responsiveness, priority allocation, and sustained operational output by driving order progression through the system and maximizing the effective use of available supply.

Order Execution & Priority Management
  • Execute released orders to Stores while monitoring material availability and system status.
  • Prioritize work based on:
    • AOG requirements
    • BFD impact
    • Pacing material availability
    • Operational risk
  • Ensure orders progress efficiently through all workflow gates and queues.
AOG & Escalation Management
  • Provide daily updates to the AOG team.
  • Maintain accurate and current shortage information in ePoint.
  • Proactively escalation risks that impact AOGs and critical customer commitments.
Material Constraint & Supply Management
  • Update and maintain BFDs and Z141s based on immediate Loss of Supply (LOS).
  • Perform global rebalancing of pacing materials to maximize order execution.
  • Submit and track HAT requests for pacing materials to resolve constraints.
Revenue Protection & Holds Coordination
  • Maintain communication with the Holds Team regarding quote and credit approvals.
  • Ensure quote-approved orders that are not CTB are properly clocked to:
    • Gate 2 – HFD Location (049)
  • Monitor revenue opportunities and prevent unnecessary order delays.
Queue & Gate Management
  • Review and investigate all incoming orders from Gate 1 daily.
  • Clear and/or clock eligible orders to Gate 2.
  • Ensure the Location 005 queue is fully cleared by close of business (COB) daily.
Allocation & OEM Planning Coordination
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with OEM Planning.
  • Coordinate allocation requests to support order execution and material access.
  • Track allocation approvals and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
ALT & Executive Review Support
  • Identify critical pacing items not allocated to R&O for ALT review.
  • Maintain and update the ALT live file throughout the week.
  • Support leadership visibility into pacing and constraint risks.
Back Rob Identification & Coordination
  • Identify daily back rob opportunities.
  • Load opportunities into the Material Handler tracking file.
  • Coordinate with Material Handlers to complete the clearing process.
Transfer Order (TO) Management
  • Initiate Transfer Orders (TOs) for available stock that does not require allocation approval.
  • Utilize TOs strategically to clear constrained orders and support priority demand.
Pre-Build & Pre-Pick Strategy
  • Release orders that are short pacing materials when:
    • Work centers are experiencing low workload levels, or
    • Significant pacing material receipts are expected in the near term.
Decision-Making Authority
  • Determine priority order sequencing based on material readiness and business impact.
  • Initiate TOs and material rebalancing actions within established guidelines.
  • Escalate allocation, material, or system risks to management as required.
Qualifications

Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in scheduling, supply chain, production control, material planning, or operations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong understanding of material flow and operational priorities .

  • Experience coordinating with OEM Planning and allocation processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, reporting capabilities, and system analysis experience.
