Job summary

McElroy Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner to support the planning and execution of manufacturing operations.

This role collaborates with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Engineering, Sales, Quality, and other functions to ensure production plans align with demand, material availability, capacity, inventory objectives, and priorities. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and data-driven planning.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and/or experience related to manufacturing, production planning, inventory control, or similar operations.
• Experience using ERP/MRP or production planning systems.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard business applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and support execution of production schedules for assigned areas.
• Monitor material availability, capacity and planning signals to identify risks to the plan.
• Review MRP messages and planning signals and take appropriate action.
• Release, reschedule, prioritize, and coordinate production work based on demand.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve shortages and capacity constraints.
• Evaluate production load against capacity to identify constraints before impact.
• Respond to demand changes while maintaining schedule stability.
• Maintain accurate planning data within Infor XA and related systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve production flow and schedule adherence.
• Communicate priorities and changes clearly across the organization.
• Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement in planning.
